The Liberian Education Fund is an organization with the goal of empowering Liberian youth by providing educational scholarships to high school students.
After successfully graduating 11 students, we currently are providing full scholarships to thirtheen Liberian students, and hope to add many new students next semester. Just $250 annually covers the cost of books and tuition for a private secondary school in Liberia. By providing these teens with an opportunity to go to school, we hope to help them break out of the cycle of poverty that plagues so many Liberians and create a better future for themselves and their country.
Message from Joe Hoover, our coordinator in Liberia: "With over 45% of the population of Liberia being illiterate and the youths being more than 50% of this population, we strongly believe that educating a child is educating a nation. Two Hundred and Fifty ($250.00) United States dollars can support a secondary education in Liberia annually. We therefore count on your generous contribution, to help save the future of a new generation."
